Booking FAQs
You sign up and book via our booking system here (https://gymcatch.com/app/provider/7117/events)(Gymcatch). There you can see a list of the most up-to-date times, prices and availability is of each class.
The first time you make a booking you will need to create an account and agree to the waiver. If you are coming regularly you can download the Gymcatch app (get it on iPhone here (https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/gymcatch-book-fitness/id919203926?l=de)and Android here)(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gymcatch.android.prod&pli=1) to make booking quicker and keep track of your classes and packages.
The prices for each class are displayed on the booking system.(https://gymcatch.com/app/provider/7117/events) You can also buy a variety of packages,(https://gymcatch.com/app/provider/7117/packages) which give you discounted rates for purchasing classes in bulk.
Yes – we do not accept walk-ins, this is to make sure we’re prepared for you and have enough bikes for all clients and avoid disappointment! You can book online here.(https://gymcatch.com/app/provider/7117/events)
For classes you pay on the booking system in advance when you book – you can do this here on the website (https://gymcatch.com/app/provider/7117/events)or via the Gymcatch app.
For PT you pay here at the studio. We accept cash, bank transfer, card or Apple Pay.
An Open Gym session is where you get to use the spin studio when not in use. In this room there is the virtual system with an iPad, a 60 inch screen and lots of workouts to follow. In addition to this there is a large selection of free weights, bikes, mats and bands that are also included in the price.
You can book it in the same way as a class on Gymcatch (https://gymcatch.com/app/provider/7117/events)– it costs the same and you can use a bundle to pay too. After making a booking please message Nick so he can make sure the space is set up.
If you want to use the Open Gym in a pair/small group please make the booking for one person as normal then text Nick to tell him who else is coming and to arrange the extra payment. If you are an instructor wishing to rent the space, please book the slot under your name. If you are just using mats e.g. for Pilates or yoga, there is no additional charge, however if you are using the virtual system, it would cost an extra £5 per person.
Please use Picktime (https://www.picktime.com/thelakesidefitnessstudio#book/services)to find current available slots. For a regular slot please discuss with Nick. Payment for PT is taken at the session.
If a class is full it should show the option to join a waiting list. If you do this you will be emailed if someone cancels and a place frees up, at which point you can then book yourself.

Whilst personal training and classes work very well together, you don't have to be a PT client to come to my classes. Some clients see us for PT and classes, some only for PT and some only for classes – it's whatever your preference and we welcome all.
Spin is a group indoor cycling workout where you are in control of the intensity. We'll get fitter, healthier and stronger together, with the rhythm of the music as our guide, concurring hill climbs, sprints and flat riding. Spin is all about the music and it's without doubt our favourite class! It is low impact cardio where you can burn up to 675 calories a session and for this reason so many of my clients love it because (quote) "it's fun and is an easy way to lose weight".
Simply put it's 30 mins of Spin followed by 12 mins Abs & 12 mins stretching :-)
Spin is for everyone – the gears let you go at your own pace meaning you can make it as high or low intensity as you wish! Our classes are inclusive of all fitness levels and we encourage everyone to go at a pace they feel most comfortable at. Beginners often build up to a full class by doing half the tracks in the first session and gradually building up at their own pace. It's a journey – not a race! For first classes, many clients feel happier at the back and we will gladly reserve you a spot at the back should you wish.
We provide all equipment, so you just need to bring yourself, a gym towel and a drink to make sure you stay hydrated throughout your class! We do however sell drinks and gym towels to rent or purchase, so no worries if you forget anything!
If it's your first PT session at the The Lakeside Fitness Studio, you will need to complete a Health Commitment Statement before the class, which we will email you.
